IMMERSIVE SOUND
The APG iX8-O is a two-way coaxial full-range loudspeaker. The bass section is entrusted to an 8" long-expansion bass-reflex driver, optimising the low-frequency bandwidth.
The high end of the spectrum
is delivered by an integrated 1" compression chamber motor
coaxial and therefore perfectly aligned physically with the loudspeaker of the
bass. The result is a particularly linear phase response. This set-up
APG has been doing this since 1990, giving the iX8-O a unique
acoustic cone of 100° maintained beyond 10kHz. The APG iX8-O loudspeaker is
is characterised by its anti-diffraction baffling, which gives it a very high
excellent phase linearity. The result is a conical directivity
virtually constant. The iX8-O is characterised by its ratio of SPL level to size.
