In the wake of the announcement of the new dedicated UL118B sub bass enclosure that further increases the field of applications for Uniline, APG has also introduced a range of new accessories and electronics that will enhance Uniline deployment possibilities.
In terms of accessories, APG has introduced two new elements: the ULRAIL lightweight flying rail for flying single arrays of UL210 and/or UL210D, and ULSTACK, a lightweight stacking accessory compatible with all Uniline enclosures for building groundstacked Uniline configurations. Both are compatible with all existing Uniline flying/rigging accessories and, given their light weight, smaller size and reduced cost, are particularly designed to facilitate the deployment of small systems, either in fixed installations or rental systems.
In terms of racks, APG now offers two standard racks designed to cater for all possible Uniline configurations as well as other APG systems. The first is the 4-in/4-out UNIRACK which comprises an APG DMS48 digital system processor and two SA30:2 amplifiers complete with a connection panel providing all of the requisite audio connectors, network control and power supply connectors that fits snugly onto the back of the rack. The result is fully cabled, turnkey 4-in/4-out APG rack that will power and control all systems – including Uniline – throughout the APG range via APG’s proprietary PWAPG software.
The second rack called the TOURACK is a 4-in/8-out rack aimed at the touring market. It is comprised of a DMS48 processor and four SA30:2 amplifiers complete with APG’s CP1UM-IN and CP1UM-OUT connection plates which offer a modular connectivity solution that can be used for racks of any size. TOURACK thus offers comprehensive power and complete control over four inputs and eight outputs via PWAPG software.
The new accessories and racks thus increase flexibility and enhance scalability at every level throughout the range of Uniline applications, from the biggest and most powerful systems right down to the smallest. Uniline can now offer adaptable turnkey solutions to rental companies and AV integrators across the board, be they handling major tours, festivals of any type and size, corporate events, theatres and concert halls, TV studios, right down to small, local productions.
